Old Green Eyes at the Chickamauga Battlefield

The region’s most iconic cryptid. Said to roam the battlefield with glowing emerald eyes and a half-human, half-beast form, Old Green Eyes is often spotted at dusk or in heavy fog. Some say he's the spirit of a fallen soldier; others, something far older.

Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park

More than a battlefield—it’s a supernatural epicenter. Visitors and rangers alike report ghostly figures, phantom cannon fire, and footsteps echoing from empty fields. Night walks here often leave guests with goosebumps and stories of their own.

Snodgrass Hill Echoes

This key battlefield site is known for phantom shouts, clashing steel, and other sounds of a fight long finished. It's one of the most active zones for auditory encounters.

Widow Glenn’s House

Tucked away on battlefield grounds, this modest home has ties to sorrow and wartime trauma. Visitors report cold spots, strange lights, and feelings of being watched.

Wilder Brigade Monument

Ghost hunters note regular EMF spikes around this towering stone monument. Many believe the soldiers who once stood here still guard the site.

Coal & Iron Coke Ovens

These 19th-century ruins are eerie by day, haunted by night. Shadow figures and disembodied voices are commonly reported among the mossy stone ovens and abandoned shafts.

Echoes of 1800s mill workers—creaking floors, whispered voices, and the clatter of long-silent machinery—keep this site buzzing with ghostly energy.

Cavender's Store

Once a 19th-century general store, now a hotspot for stories of phantom customers. Items fall from shelves. Doors open and close. Some swear they’ve heard voices asking for goods that haven’t been sold in over a hundred years.
